WE DID IT!...I think I'm going to be sick...

Ok, Ok. So we did it. We made an offer. It was a good offer. We spent almost 2 hours at the house today with Karin Klicker and a throng of friends and family. We scoped out every inch of that house. From the plumbing to the water heater to the railings to the facets to the "you name it". We brought along Charlie's co-worker and friend, Fred. Fred knows alot about homes and even used to be a drywall guy. So he knows what he's doing and what we should be looking for. My mother and good friend Lisa also came along.

We love this house. It's just comfortable. So after the big scope out. After the endless calls to Charlie's parents, His uncle Mike and other family members. After we had talked ourselves into it 17 hundred times, we went to the real estate office.

Karin and her crew walked us through it every step of the way answering our questions. Then we signed on the dotted line.

There are three offers, including ours. However, if you want a real estate agent who is, excuse the phrase, "balls to the wall", someone who won't jerk you around and will fight to the end for you. It's Karin. She is 95% sure that we will get this house with the offer that we put in.

What does this mean?

We both have such buyers remorse we almost didn't make it through grocery shopping without crying, barfing or worse, passing out. We are totally happy with our decision, but somewhere between the beans and the hot pockets, we realised that we had just signed away $160,000+ for a house. yeah a house, but it's the $160,000+ part that has us gasping like an asthmatic without a primatine mist.

When the oxygen comes back to our brains we will again realise that we just possibly purchased a home that is 99% of what we always wanted (I can always buy a hot tub lol) and we got for $160,000 when it's appraised at near $200,000. I never thought I would love someone else's misfortune (thank you foreclosures).

Well, with the pepto in one hand and the phone in the other we will continue to wait. We should know the verdict by tuesday. We'll let you know if we need more pepto or if it's back the drawing board. lol :)
