Save the Date!
We have settled on a date and it will be September 22, 2007 here in St. Cloud! We will have our reception at the St. Cloud Holiday Inn! I really enjoy working with the Holiday Inn: 1) because they have a great options and perks 2) My friend and roommate of 2 1/2 years Melinda is the Sales/Catering Manager! yeah!
They have so many options for the dinner. It's kinda cool that I will get to go and sit in the kitchen and try all the options. I am planning on taking any of the bridal party and moms that can make it. They are allowing me a whoppin' 3 entree options plus kids meal + vegetarian plate! So when the RSVP's hit your mailbox, you're sure to find something you like! I hope. lol.
I am trying to find menu items that will appeal to a lot of people, but that aren't simply chicken on a plate. I have been to a lot of catered dinners, and well you can expect chicken always. I am sure that I will have chicken as an option, but I will most likely have a few "other white meat" options too :)

Our church is new to us, we starting going to St. Paul's here in St. Cloud when I first moved here. Many of my co-workers are parishoners. I like it. It is a really good mix of new and old. It also turned out that Fr. Tim Baltes, the pastor, is the same priest that married Charlie's parents. He will be conducting our wedding ceremony. We will most likely have a priest from Charlie's hometown of Williston stand up for us also. I may not have been the most religious person growing up, but with Charles we have made it a ritual to spend our Sunday mornings in the pews of St. Pauls. Now don't get me wrong, we are not in the "perfect attendance" club, lol, but we make it a point to be there 99.9% of the time.
Fr. Tim is actually being transferred to a new parish this spring, but he said that he would make it a point to come back and marry us. I consider us lucky to have people that care that much to go out of their way for us. We realise that we are mostly likely asking you to travel to be here on our day, but your presence is what makes our day that much more memorable.
